Individual Intervention

One of the most difficult challenges in managing workplace conflict, including discrimination and harassment issues is to determine appropriate corrective action for the individual who it has been concluded has violated the organization's policy or, at best, has behaved in an inappropriate manner. This challenge is compounded when that individual is in leadership, a position where accountability is often most difficult to enforce. An individual intervention--counseling or coaching--can provide an effective remedy.

Brinkman & Chersky Consulting has gained a strong reputation for delivering individual interventions that concretely impact behavioral change. The focus of the process, which is determined on a case-by-case basis, is on the issue of power. The intervention is intended to assist the individual in understanding guidelines for appropriate behavior, the impact of perception differences, and the legal implications and potential liabilities associated with misconduct. The culmination of the process is centered on the development of a concrete individual plan of action to modify problematic behavior.

"As a result of your skill at drawing the employees into the coaching process, they did not just go through the motions of a required program, they really worked on changing their attitudes and behavior. If I have a need for this type of coaching/employee intervention again, there isn't anyone I know of that I would prefer to work with."
